A pale wall that feels a bit empty? Sorana gives it a focal point. A matte black dial sits inside a wide clear ring, so from a few steps back the face seems to hover just off the wall.
Two sweeping black arcs are printed across the clear acrylic ring, so the whole piece reads like a spiral in motion, with pale grey numerals and slim white hands keeping the time. It is light and hangs on a single nail. The movement is a silent sweep quartz on one AA battery.
At about 30 cm across it suits a modern living room, a bedroom or a home office.

A Face That Floats
The clear outer ring fades from view so the black dial and its sweeping arcs seem to hover in front of the wall.
Silent By Design
A sweep movement glides rather than ticks, so it suits a bedroom as well as a living room.
Best On A Pale Wall
Off white, sand and pale grey walls give the black disc the space to stand out.
