The Hollis Fluted Coffee Table is a soft oval in a warm brown wood finish, 100 cm long and 50 cm wide, with no sharp corners to catch a shin. Both rounded ends have vertically fluted sliding doors with small round wooden knobs, and behind them is closed storage for blankets, games and anything else you would rather not see.
Through the middle there is an open compartment for books, a basket or the remote, and the whole table stands 40 cm tall on four round wooden bun feet. The doors are MDF with a textured matt finish that resists fingerprints and wipes clean easily.
It is sized for smaller living rooms and flats, where one piece has to hold a lot without looking busy, and it sits happily with a cream sofa, a wool rug and warm lamp light. Part of the CasaQuip home collection.
